Words from the Wise

If we don't remember history we are doomed to repeat it. Oh, please not again!
Why aren't we listening?

"Should any political party attempt to abolish Social Security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are . . . a few Texas oil millionaries (is this sounding a little too familiar?) and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas (This scream Enron doesn't it?). Their number is negligible and they are stupid."-Republican President Dwight Eisenhower, letter to his brother, Edgar, Nov. 8, 1954

With that said, I still wonder why Bush has led people to believe He speaks for everyone. I'm an American and a Christian and as far as I'm concerned Bush and the corrupt government is not. It bothers me that he thinks that Israel should be divide. It's amazing the U.S. has took a 360 degree turn from being Israel's allie to sleeping with the enemy. One thing for sure you don't mess around with God's land and the apple of His eye. (Read Psalm 83:1-4) From the http://www.jpost.com/ Despite assurances to the contrary...Jerusalem is on the auction block. Encouraged by the fact Israel has been forced to adhere to the Road Map while Abbas has been treated with kid gloves, Palestinian leaders have set their sites on Jerusalem.
It was no accident that PA President Mahmoud Abbas accompanied by Secretary of State Rice held a press conference in front of an imposing picture of the Mosque of Omar on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Mr. Abbas and his PA cronies want it ALL!Emboldened by success, PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia makes no attempt to disguise his new-found assurance that the Quartet responsible for the Road Map plan will eventually force Israel to make yet another concession - and relinquish Jerusalem to the PA.
Qureia said, "We are telling the entire world, today Gaza and tomorrow Jerusalem. Today Gaza and tomorrow an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital." And he's not kidding!
Prime Minister Qureia is adamant that hostilities towards the Jews will never end until Jerusalem is in Palestinian hands. "Without Jerusalem, there will be no peace," he says.

The U.S. is putting pressure on Israel, read the story www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages.604617.html.

With the recent bombings in London these guys will go to any length to get what they want. On a much lighter note, time is running short for them. Jesus is coming back, believe it or not. All I have to do now is clear my mind and tell others of the good news of the Gospel of Christ and everything's gonna be alright (Remember the 1970s song by Al Green).

Pray for Israel, Our Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and a revival in America.
