It is written in Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions , and your old men shall dream dreams. The prophet Daniel was given the understanding of dreams and visions - Daniel 1:17. Just how they have a job on their hands (no pun intended). My life is surrounded by certain events from the time I was born to the present. I was born ten years after Israel became a nation in May 1948. The fig tree was just beginning to bloom. I'm referring to the parable spoken by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24. From the time Israel came into existence, America has gone through changes and one of them is a decline in our culture. In our century alone most biblical prophecy has been fulfilled. The trouble with us now we tend to ignore the consequences. So far, in my lifetime in 1962 the Supreme Court had ordered prayer out of our schools. Our faith is still under fire. Image via Wikipedia I've been talking to the LORD in prayer since my dad past away a week ago. I feel that there has been a major turning point in my life. Everyone goes through turning points in their lives one time or another, losing a loved one, moving away, changing jobs, a tragic event, you get the picture. This was the turning point in my life. I made my decision to follow Jesus Christ . I had been committed to Him long before that. I felt something was missing. So I made sure that what I was doing was the right thing. After my dad's funeral we all gathered outside to witness the release of a white dove as my dad's final flight home to Heaven . That's when something just came out me. It was a beautiful moment that I'll never forget. I felt I was touching faces with my Savior. My dad's death was just before the 2008 election. I feel that this was a sign of sorts. With Bush wanting to send more troops overseas America is desolving to nothing. I've made it a point to live my life as my last day here on earth. We never know when we'll be here next. What so troubling about America's future is that back in 2005, Bush put into affect an Act that will make it mandatory for everyone to have a National ID card . What's wrong with this is that you can not apply for a job, get social security, enter a Federal building, board a plane, train or bus. Take the time in a day to pray for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan . We live in a most interesting time. We are blessed to be the generation to see the coming of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that those troops who are in the worst of battle will come to know Jesus to save them before they go into eternity. It breaks my heart that our brave men and women have to endure a war not of their doing. If people only knew the truth that the Bush Administration is part of the One World Order . Image via Wikipedia All is well on the West Virginia front. It was much peaceful during the Christmas holiday. I went to church service as usual. When we got the news about the Sago Mines we were all anticipating the outcome of the 13 miners trapped. As you know already it made national news. Except, there was misinformation by the media. Plus, there's other politics being sweeped under the rug. It only makes me sad about the miner 's families. My prayers go out to them. I hope that the miners were saved before they left to the other side. I think most miners are Christian . My brother-in-law works above ground but it's still a dangerous job. He's also a Christian. He brought me an artist kit for Christmas, so I'll be busy painting and drawing. Let's all love one another like God done for us 2,000 years ago when he sent His only Son Jesus as the greatest gift of His eternal love. OK, so I like the occassional egg nog , the beautiful nativity scenes (my sister's church has a live drive-thru nativity every year)and giving (It more blessed to give than to receive- Isaiah 58:7-8 ; Proverbs 19:17 ).
