My Church

Image
Image via Wikipedia My church website is up and running. The Lord has really blessed us many times over it's been countless. Jesus is the gift who keeps on giving. In a few days it will be Thanksgiving . We have alot to be thankful for. Yeah I know the real Thanksgiving, but it doesn't hurt to give thanks to the one who gave His life for mankind. No, the pilgrims didn't show their true gratitude towards the Indians . If it weren't for the Indians there would be an America today. It would still probably a peaceful hunting ground and still not have God in it. May we all realize that God loves all races and cultures and come to the knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and can save all if they come to Him and make Him Lord of their life. Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord. America needs Jesus. We would less to no problems if we lean on Him and make Him King. It will have a take drastic measures for that to happen and for people to believe that Jesus is real and...

Research...Research....Write...Write...My Mission

I've been away for a while. I needed to catch up on some stuff. I've been so involved in my class project lately. It a report I'm researching on the Tay-Sachs disease. The NTSAD has been a great help in my research efforts. I've been changed by this because it affects children from the time of birth. It's a genetic condition that attacks the gene structure. What's sad there is no cure, only prevention. Children that are affected with the disease live only to about 4-to-5 years of age. So little time, not given a chance to live life. Learning alot from these children tells me cherish each and every moment of everyday like these dear little children and their families because you never know when it will end. I was so moved by a father journey with his daughter, Rachaeli it touched my heart forever. There's a hope that someday there will be an answer to sickness and death. That will one day be a place much different from this place. If you trust that there i...

Just a Note-Flu Season Ease

Just to let you know that maybe have been some confusion and little education about the threat of an avian influenza outbreak. Not to worry according to medical resources it's not as bad as the media let's it out to be. And I think President Bush's announcement a while back said he would declare marshall law in the U.S. if such would happen. That's just alot of bunk to try and get us all uppity. Be sure to bulk up on your Vitamin C, better yet Ester-C . Besides haven't we been there done, done that already. Sometimes it's always good to get out the mask . And always wash those hands after every visit ;). Stay well!

Yule Tiding Again

Thanksgiving will soon be here. If some of you wonder why we celebrate turkey day there is an historical account in 1676 of how thanksgiving happened. Pretty soon Christmas will follow. And you know what that means? Time to SHOP! I hope that others who oppose of Christmas, you don't know what you're missing. Remember the greatest gift of all who made it all possible. Miracles still happen. Even when those want to forget, there are still some of us have the light of Jesus in our hearts. Behind all the decorations, the wrapped gifts and the rush is the one gift that was given to all of us. The one that was hung on a tree 2,000 years ago. As you sit down to your holiday dinner table give thanks for all the blessings that God has given. That the true meaning of Christmas lives with us all through the year. God Bless Us Everyone!

Bridge Day Weekend

I'm BACCKKKKKK!!! Bridge Day was Saturday October 15. An annual event at New River Gorge Bridge in Fayette Co., WV. That's where a lot of nutty people from all over come and jump over the highest bridge in the U.S. The following week I did my clinical training in the medical office. I had a great time. Boy, those drug reps really know how to butter up the doctor. I think I gained 5 lbs. easy. It's the first nine weeks and I got my grade for the quarter. I got the highest G.P.A. in the class. I've been wanting for months to remove a pile of roofing shingles from my backyard. I finally got my prayer answered. A clean-up crew come out and cleaned up with a garbage truck. I also got another pray answered! I got on a pay roll so I don't have to worry about where my next meal is coming from. The Lord does work in mysterious ways. Don't He? Walk in His Love.... Later!

A Humble Part of Me.

When I first start this blog I had a tough time on what I was going to blog about. There were quite a few things that I'd liked to have talked about. Things are were close to me and others that always been a part of me. Then I thought like most of us have a kind of journey we travel while we're here in this life. I call mine a redemption journey because I hope that in the end that I will be truly redeemed from the state of this mortal life to a life that was meant to be. Most of all of the redemption that Jesus' sacrifice finished 2,000 years ago. I was reading Rachel Scott 's website today. What she lived in the short 17 years of her life had touched millions of people than what another person could do in their lifetime. I keep journals of my works, but Rachel's has to be the most inspiring memorial of compassion. At times I think of Rachel and Columbine. I think that she's in a better place now. And a day that when it rains I think of Rachel's Tears falli...

Be of Good Cheer

Sorry I missed you Friday, but the fire alarm rang and I had to leave in a hurry. It's a monthly practice. I wonder if we'll ever be ready for the real thing? Seems like we are never really prepared for anything. When it does happen it's not what you expect. One thing to do in an emergency is to always remain calm. I am brought to remember the words of Jesus when He said,"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33). It's raining here and I've come down with a cold. I'm feeling better now. After a few cups of chamomile tea I'm doing fine. The weather is warm and the leaves on the trees are changing color. Over the weekend the big earthquake hit Pakistan, India and parts of Afghanistan. They're still counting the lost (28,000). I'll be going to clinical training next week so I'll be away from class. I maybe wor...

The Cable Guy

Larry has a different way of saying what he wants to say when he says it. His momma was an Elvis Impersonator and looked a little like "Ralph the Carpenter" on Green Acres? :? He you're friendly GIT-R-DONE comment"tater" by quote an grew up in a Christian home, loves the U.S.A., Miss September and making odd (clearing throat) commodities from Playdough. He plans to run for President and with what we got in the White House already, well, it just makes me nervous. As Larry puts it they talk the talk, but walkin' the walk it's like trip and stumble like Ray Charles in a pumpkin patch.

The Road We Choose

There's sometime in our life we have to make decisions. Think about it. There are those we make what we will eat, wear, places to go, job hunting, etc. But did you ever think of the most important is the one we make when we will leave this world when we die. The decision will be the one of how we will spend the rest of our lives in eternity. What road will you choose? It will be one of the important and critical decision that you'll ever make in your life.

Zoning Churches

As much of our nation drifts further and further from its religious heritage, one of the side effects has been the increasing opposition to churches seeking to build new facilities or increase the size of the one that they already occupy. In recent years, opponents of churches have had some success in shifting the opinions of government decision makers from viewing a church as beneficial to communities to viewing them as a “drain” on city treasuries since they occupy land that could be used to produce tax revenue for government coffers. In fact, current Supreme Court precedent offers pornography outlets more protection with government zoning decisions than most churches have! T.C. (redemptionsong): Well, speaking as for my church we give our hard earned money in tithes and offerings plus what we do for the community than what the U.S. government would do. What they don't remember in the heyday of the churches in the old days there were large numbers of people who attended service...

My Prayer List

My prayer list is ever moving. Whatever is lead by the Holy Spirit. Currently: Pray that the leaders in Washington, D.C. make wise decisions in the U.S. government for the welfare of the American people. Pray for the residents of the Gulf Coast (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama)that have been so devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Many have lost loved ones, homes, jobs, everything. Pray for those in the path of Hurricane Rita. (II Corinthians 8:14) Pray for the families of those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan this week. Pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort them, and give supernatural peace. (Philippians 4:7) Pray for the safety of our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the world. Pray that God will protect and guide them daily. (Psalm 5:11) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem according to Psalm 122:6. Pray for revival worldwide according to II Chronicles 7:14. Life in the Boonies so Far

Image
So far as of today, I've been going to school for the pass 2-months at Carver Career Center in the Medical Transcription program. The instructor tells us we're being trained as editors in the medical field of health information management. Hopefully, I can use this advantage for my writing career. I would like being an editor. I hope to be working soon. I need the money for gas to get to school and buy food, vitamins and other needed commodities. Seems most of my money goes to gas and soymilk , one to fuel my car and one to fuel me and those neurons. My routine each day begins at 6:00 AM. I say a prayer and read some from my Bible before starting the day. You know it does help when you're going to take a test on that day. It's been proven. Praise the Lord! It's Fall and the trees are beginning to turn their vibrant colors here in West Virginia. My Uncle Johnny who use to come here in the Fall time from Florida just to see the foliage. I've also been involve in...

The Passion at Paradise Island

Image
Image via Wikipedia A friend told me about this place called the Passion Trail at Paradise Island, West Virginia . Yes, it's an island near the Guyandotte River in Logan County (in Hatfield & McCoy country). Each year many people attend this attraction 4 times a year (Easter, Memorial Day , Labor Day and Christmas) to journey on the passion trail of the life of Jesus Christ . If you want something very different I suggest this wonderful experience. While you're there visit the Almost Heaven Gift Shop and 7th Heaven Snack Shop . To get directions to Paradise Island visit the website for more information. I love to camp out and they have accommodations for the happy camper. Check with the website for availability. Let's not Jump to Anything

Well, I should have known that is was a bad rumor going around about the gas hike in the state of West Virginia. Although it may just happen. The oil mongols and the media are playing around with the issue and they have agendas. Can we beat the system, or be sitting ducks? It won't always last forever (the oil that is). I'll have my bicycle handy. Speaking of bikes this guy take his sport to heart. The 9-11 USA Cyclist, Don Boehly plans on cross country starting on 9-11 and ends 9-11-2006 in New York City. So far to Date: Grand Total 11,505 Miles to Huntington, West Virginia in 29 States. Do I sense bicycle sales going up in the next month or so?

The Gas Miser is Back!

Ok, here it is folks! As of 12 noon EST in Charleston, WV gas went an all time HIGH. Can we consider ourselves lucky than some countries. The Netherlands are paying close to $7.00 ($6.48 per gallon). Or let's all move to Venezuela . There they only pay $0.12 a gallon. Better yet why don't we all go on strike and hitch up our team of horses that will show the big wigs we mean business. It's in poor taste that the big oil companies would do this in the event of a national disaster. Oh, well it's time we look at alternatives like the methane burning engine. Either way we're all in the big stink!

A Letter to Jesus Christ

Dear Jesus, I've been wanting to write this letter to you in relation to everything that has happened in the past 10 years. The world has changed so much since I was born. It a wonder that I've turned out O.K. and then some. I think where most of the changes began after the time when Israel became a state on May 14, 1948 . After 10 years, I was born. Not very long afterward in the year 1962 the Supreme Court ruled that prayer to be removed from public schools. This was a time before I ever started school. I didn't have a chance to speak on my rights to say prayer. I do remember saying the pledge of allegiance one last time in my second year of grade school. I was really uncertain about my life would take a turn in the later years. Don't let anyone tell you that America and live without the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Ever since the changing of the U.S. Constitution and the call for removing any references to God's law and not obeying it we've ever since be...
